Today is the first day of the rest of your life

Congratulations on completing this major chapter - whether it's high school, elementary, post-secondary or beyond - this is definitely a time to celebrate!

The graduation portrait session (also known as the SENIOR portrait session) is best held in the final year of school and is an experience that is completely customized for each family and student.

A milestone too often overlooked

This one's for you, parents. I've noticed a pattern in the world of family milestone photography. What I see is that we absolutely cherish all the new beginnings such as pregnancy, birth, newborns, first birthdays, and all those sweet moments in the early years. However, completing school is not something we should forget to celebrate!

Consider this. You've spent all this time and energy raising your or not-so-little one over the years, and you've all managed to make it to this remarkable point in your lives. Before your graduate moves on to the next chapter, I encourage you to get those family portraits in and celebrate this huge accomplishment together.

Don't forget the spotlight. Treat them to a portrait session that celebrates their achievements, passions, and talent. It's important that we acknowledge what is truly important to them, and the person they have become.

No two photo sessions are the same.  When it comes to planning your graduation session, my biggest question is "What matters to you?" I need to know what your favourite things, activities, places, talents, and causes are because, in the end, your portraits need to represent the best version of yourself!
